Using the Web to Further the Cause of Christ.

New Ministry seminars: Increasing your Churches outreach through the Web and Social Media. Teaching Church Pastors and Leaders to use Church Web Sites and Social media sites, like Face book to extend their message and their outreach to their Church Community and beyond. Seminars teach your Leaders how to use these tools to reach out to your community and the world, by using Discussion boards, Websites and even yes, Facebook to reach those who you could not in more traditional ways.

Bro Jim Babb is head of Higher Ground Ministres, he is also a Web Designer and Photographer, along with His wife Jackie who is a professor of Digital Media Technologies they bring a wealth of knowledge your ministry team can use to reach a lost and dying world.

We always complain about what is on the web and social media site but like other media we have surrendered that ground to the devil.
Well, we belive it is time the Church took back this ground and began to bring a message of salvation and grace to this wilderness, so that the lost and the broken might hear of the Lord Jesus Christ and a message of hope in a world without hope.

Seeking to save the Lost and to disciple believers to walk closer with God in their lives, through the Teaching and Preaching of God's Word. Higher Ground Ministries is about developing outreaches to the local Church and the Community, with programs for Young and Mature alike. It is our vision to reach out to the community through evangalistic meetings, and to develope a pastoral and Youth retreat in the Sandhills area that can minister to youth as well as provide a place for Pastors and their leadership to come together to refresh themselves for the battle.

God Will Appear

God showed up for the Three Hebrew Children

Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him."
Daniel 3:28

Daniel 3

15.  Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

 16.  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

 17.  If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

 18.  But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

19.  Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

 20.  And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

 21.  Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

 22.  Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

 23.  And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

 24.  Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

 25.  He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

 26.  Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

 27.  And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellers, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

 28.  Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

 29.  Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

 30.  Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.

God showed up for Peter

Acts 12

1.  Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.

 2.  And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

 3.  And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

 4.  And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

 5.  Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

 6.  And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

 7.  And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

 8.  And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

 9.  And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

 10.  When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

 11.  And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

How would you have felt if you had been Peter? King Herod began a persecution of the church in Jerusalem, highlighting it with the murder of the apostle James, the brother of John. When he saw that this pleased the Jewish leaders, he seized Peter also and put him in jail. If you had been Peter, wouldn't you have thought that Herod planned to murder you as well? How alone would you have felt?

Broken Toys PDF Print E-mail

Dr. Ron Shultz

Sometimes we bring our broken toys to our heavenly Father and beg Him to fix them, especially our favorites. Instead He throws them away and we cry our hearts out not knowing He threw them away because of several reasons. They may have been toys He did not give us but rather something we found in the World. They were toys we were really too old to be playing with anyway. They were toys that could, would and maybe had already hurt us. Regardless of the reason that He throws them away the purpose is to give us something better from His heart of love that will give us far more joy then those things He tosses into the trash. He means to replace those tears of despair with tears of joy if we are willing to trust and part with the old to receive the new. Indeed, Father knows best!

Bible Gateway Verse of the Day

Thought of the day

Sometimes I wonder just how things are going to work out. Then I remember just who holds the future in His hands, and I have to remind myself that even when the mountains wont move I need to trust God more for God is always there in my situation. If He does not bring me out He will see me through, If the mountain does ...not move He will bare me over it on the wings of eagles. Isa. 40: 31
